The Choice

Lately, this thought has been playing in my head…

Every single day, we make choices.
When the alarm goes off, we decide whether to extend for another 5–10 minutes or to get up and start the day. We choose what to wear, whether or not to eat, and so much more — all within just an hour or two of waking up.

But beyond these small, daily decisions lies something far more important: how we choose to live our lives — day in and day out.

When life throws us lemons, when it feels like a roller coaster of highs, lows, and in-betweens, when it’s hard to get up, or even when we’re filled with excitement — we must ask ourselves: Who do we choose?

From a bigger point of view, life is meant to be lived through the lens of faith
Choosing Jesus.
Choosing who He is.
Choosing the things that glorify Him.
Choosing actions that identify us as Christians.

The hardest part? Following Him.

As a member of a community, I’ve seen many come and go — some stay, others leave, and a few remain on the fence. I’ve witnessed members once full of passion slowly drift away, choosing the world instead. I don’t mean to say they’re bad — not at all. I just can’t help but feel that some people, blessed with such beautiful gifts from God, choose not to share them. Maybe I’ll be criticized for saying this, but I sometimes think that’s a bit selfish.

Still, I believe that God has a purpose in all things.
And I continue to pray that, in whatever direction they take, they will find their way back to Him.

Not being in a community doesn’t necessarily mean something’s wrong — maybe this life isn’t what they’re called to.
Or maybe… it’s just not yet their time.

To you, my brother, my sister — may God lead you to His path.

I’m praying for you.

Amping ug ampo! 🙏
