Georgia Day 3 – #ByaheNgKokobears | Monastery, Walls & Wines

Georgia Day 3 – #ByaheNgKokobears | Holiday Factory Day Tour # 1

Our HF Day Tour starts on day 3. For this package we will have 6 Spots to visit: Bread making, Churchkela shop, 3 Walls/Overviewing Dec, Bodbe Monastery and Lunch/Wine Tasting in Sighnaghi, Kakheti

9AM – Call time / Pick-up from the Hotel

We had our usually hotel breakfast and waited for the bus to come.

10:30 AM – Churchkela Shop

This is the candle-like sweets in Georgia that we thought to be real candles when we first saw it in the streets of old Tbilisi 😂 took it literally… hehe but this was pretty nice! Koko loved it.

11:30 AM – Bodbe Monastery

St. Nino’s remains are kept here. Background story is on #JMTV vlog.

12:30 PM – Walls of Sinaghi, Overviewing Deck facing Armenia & Azerbaijan

Sinaghi wall – is an 18-century wall that was a refuge of marauders and conquerors and has remain an architectural treasure that originally connects 28 towers of each areas with two of the significant ones The King’s Tower and The Bodbe Tower, symbolizing political and religious significance.

2 PM – Late Lunch & Wine Tasting

The lunch was held in a house made into a restaurant in a nearby place in Kakheti – since we came late our food was almost cold but still sumptuous. We had khachapuri, a chicken soup in cream, tomato soup, bread, fresh veges, fried potatoes, rice and cold water. This was filling.

Wine tasting came next, we had 8 glasses of wine! Details coming soon on #JMTV.

6 PM – Reached Home

8:30 PM – Rested for a while and then went out to another street near our hotel for dinner.

We tried Machaeckhla  Restaurant. We ordered shawarma, fried khinkali, salad and a pizza type khachapuri. Overall this was so-so, it wasn’t as good as Nikala’s. We felt the food was dry and service wasn’t as good.

11 PM – Lights off ;)

Pretty straightforward schedule right? :) Overall this was our itinerary of the day. I was only disappointed that there was no Bread-making schedule only to find out that our guide Etuna – a beautiful slender Georgian lady, I think 22 years old – asked earlier about it and no one said yes. Unfortunately I didn’t hear that. So I asked her and told her that the key points why I chose this tour was because of that and the wine tasting. She said nothing to worry, because that activity isn’t really popular among tourists, I wanted to rebut but opted not to.

How about you Creatives, have you visited Georgia? Which part and what’s your fave activity?

Let’s talk in the comment section.

God bless!
