Key Features

Three-Tiered System: The falls consist of several levels. The First Falls is the largest and most popular, featuring a 40-meter drop into a wide, deep basin. The Second Falls is about a 15-minute uphill trek further and is generally less crowded.
Turquoise Waters: The water originates from the Kabukalan Spring and is known for its distinct blue-green hue, caused by natural minerals in the area.
The Jungle Setting: It is situated within the Matutinao River canyon, surrounded by dense rainforest and limestone cliffs.

Popular Activities

Canyoneering: This is the most famous activity. It involves a 3–5 hour journey starting upstream in the Kanlaob River, where you cliff jump (up to 15m, though all are optional), swim through rapids, and slide down natural rock slides before ending at Kawasan Falls.
Swimming & Relaxation: You can swim in the natural pools or simply enjoy the scenery from the riverside.
Bamboo Rafting: Traditional rafts are often available to take visitors directly under the cascading water for a “natural massage” (availability may vary based on local regulations).

Location: Barangay Matutinao, Badian, Cebu (approx. 3.5–4 hours south of Cebu City).
Opening Hours: Generally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
Best Time to Visit: The dry season (December to May) offers the clearest water and safest conditions for canyoneering. Arriving early (before 9:00 AM) is recommended to avoid large tour groups.
Access: From the national road in Badian, it is an easy 1.5 km (15–20 minute) flat walk along the river to reach the first level.
