Haiku
– Haiku –
“Haiku” is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme.
This is another side of me. Way – way back in High school I love writing poems. I guess it comes with the fact that when you’re young, you tend to be “emo” and romantic. Thus topics of poetry on love and relationship comes easy. It has been a decade (or more) that I haven’t written a poem. Not until today! :) It is when I listened to one of my favorite podcast – Happier by Gretchen Ruben that my “poetic soul” comes alive! . . . They were talking about creating a HAIKU! And so this is my take on it, :) therefore I’ll be making this a regular column and so the Haiku Project will be popping around every now and then. :D
Here’s the first one.
We create our plan,
When completed, He answers.
His time is perfect.
