The Santo Niño Image: The church houses the original wooden statue of the Child Jesus, which was given by Ferdinand Magellan to Queen Juana of Cebu in 1521.

Architecture: The current stone structure was completed between 1739 and 1740. It features a blend of Muslim, Romanesque, and Neoclassical architectural influences.

Sinulog Festival: The Basilica is the spiritual center of the Sinulog Festival, held every third Sunday of January, attracting millions of devotees.

Prohibited: Short skirts, sleeveless tops (sandos), spaghetti straps, and shorts for both men and women.
