How to Start Your Passion Project by exploring your “Creative Curiosity”? “Passion”, most of the time seemed to be a daunting word – a “BIG word”. I met a friend back in college who says, she thinks she doesn’t have a talent… back then I don’t have the right words to say – that actually everyone does. So I just answered her that maybe she hasn’t discovered it yet. Indeed now, I realized we all have – we just need to take the time and effort to discover it and learn more about it. These steps are simple,…

    My Creative Mantra

I have been following Lavendaire (Aileen Xu) for almost 6 months now and she is definitely inspiring me to be creative (among others). As I continue to follow her – I happen to bumped into her mini-activity of creating a Creative Mantra; an affirmation about who I am as a creative. So here is my declaration! I am creative. I am passionate and worthy to share my talent and skills to the world. I am confident of being God’s creation, therefore I know I am special. Haiku

    – Haiku – “Haiku” is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems consist of 3 lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme. This is another side of me. Way – way back in High school I love writing poems. I guess it comes with the fact that when you’re young, you tend to be “emo” and romantic. Thus topics of poetry on love and relationship comes easy. It has been a decade (or more) that I haven’t written a poem. Not until today! :) It is when I listened to one of my favorite podcast – Happier…

    Creativity

Henri Matisse nailed it in saying “Creativity takes Courage” – true indeed! “CREATIVE”  “CREATIVITY” “CREATIVE LIVING” Big words!!! Yes they are! I believe the very reason that Matisse said that it takes courage because being “creative” – most of the times looks like a highfaluting word in such a way that there must be something great, sparkling or amazing! A high level personality inside you. But personally, I think everyone can be creative. We just have to unleash it and be open to possibilities. When we create something, out of our passion or any creative expressions through writings, arts, music, DIYs etc, it is putting out ourselves to the world (whether…
