Cebu – Temple of Leah (2018)

    March 4, 2018 /

Temple of Leah has started making the buzz all over Cebu and nearby cities as it captures the heart of many Cebuanos & Filipinos. This temple isn’t a place of worship. Instead it is an expression of love from a husband Teodirico Adarna to his late wife Leah Albino Adarna. Also dubbed as Cebu’s version of Taj Mahal. Right after our unplanned trip to Sirao Flower Farm, we headed to this temple which is a 20-25 minutes drive by motorcycle (habal-habal). 75/- Pesos is the fare per person, one way. Entrance Fee @ 50/- pesos per person (as of Feb 2018) What can you do/see?  Basically the temple is open,…

    Visiting KALANGGAMAN Island (Leyte)

    January 13, 2018 /

KALANGGAMAN island is one of the many beautiful islands the Philippines could offer. Visiting Kalanggaman is a treat to anyone who loves the sun and the beach! The island used to be a part of Bogo Cebu but after a while, Palompon Leyte claimed it based on the height/deepness comparing each other’s shore. This remote treasure didn’t just came out of nowhere, it has always been there. There may be quiet a few people who have started gushing around the prestine beauty of this island. In fact, I personally think this is such a secluded getaway for couples, friends and family as well. In this trip, I went there…

Travel Guide : Simala Church Cebu

    February 9, 2017 /

Cebu is one of the first seat of Christianity in the Philippines, it is full of churches that represents the countries long  history of Catholicism – accompanied with various festivals in honor of Jesus, Mary and all the different saints. A municipality in southern Cebu named Sibonga has become a tourist/devotee destination because of the #EuropeFeels / #ItalyFeels  – SIMALA Church has. It is a façade in honor of Mama Mary.   This January, I went on a vacation and took a trip down south to visit the church and paid homage to the Blessed Virgin for all of her blessings she and her son have showered to me and to my family! Here I’m…

Sri Lankan Foodie – ආහාර (āhāra)

    October 3, 2016 /

As a part of every travel; it is indeed a good way to know more about a country’s culture with their food. Sharing a separate blog post of our gastronomic adventure in Sri Lanka!   Trivia: While in Sri Lanka, the 3 of us never had lunch!!! Wanna know why? . . . Read on! :)   Two (2) of the three (3) days tour that we had started early in the morning because of the distance of the sites we visited. Day 1 & 2 – we had our packed breakfast.   The hotel packed a very “safe” set of breakfast for the three of us: Cheese Sandwich, Orange or…
